3 Things Holding you Back on your Fat Loss Journey
Nov 03, 2021Do you feel like you're working you're A$% off but not seeing any results?
It can be frustrating to be working so hard but not see the results you desire. Sometimes we may feel like we are doing all the right things, but might be overlooking a few important aspects of weight loss.
Here's three things that could be holding you back in your fat loss journey.
1 - You're not tracking your food intake - being in a calorie deficit is key for losing weight. If you're not tracking your food intake, how do you know you're even in a calorie deficit? Even if you just track for a week or two, you'll get a general idea of whereabouts your calories are at. From there you can determine if you're eating less than your body needs to maintain. If not, decrease your food intake a little bit and that should do it!
2 - You're not as active as you think you are - a lot of people over estimate how active they are. They think they are working to the max in their workouts but really they're stopping mid set to check their phones, replying to texts, or spending more time talking than actually working out. We also sit A LOT these days and the average step count is around 3,000-5,000. If that's you, step it up! Increase your movement throughout the day which will increase calorie burn.
3 - If you are tracking your food intake, you're not tracking BLTS - Bites, licks, tastes and sips. These can definitely add up big time and push you over your calorie goal. Start paying attention to everything you're putting in your mouth (yes including those bites of your kids chicken nuggets or sips of your husbands beer) and be sure to log them. You might see you're taking in way more calories than you think!
